Speeding on Town Roads
Speeding continues to be an issue on residential streets. As the temperatures warm up, the Town is
reminding drivers to please slow down and watch out for children, pedestrians, and cyclists. Please
share the road. Staff will be installing speed humps throughout the Town on high traffic residential
streets and the speed humps will remain in place until October. The Speed Hump Policy and Application
for Speed Humps can be found online at www.cornwallpe.ca.
Household Furniture Pickup
Please be reminded that the Island Waste Management Corporation (IWMC) does not collect large pieces
of furniture as part of curb side pickup. Contact IWMC for drop off locations and hours for such items as
household furniture, mattresses, and appliances (www.iwmc.pe.ca or 1-888-280-8111). Thank you for helping to keep Cornwall clean.
