Terry Fox Sports Complex

This is a premier outdoor recreation facility located on Main Street adjacent to Eliot River Elementary School. The complex features two full-size artificial turf fields, including a lined football field, along with baseball and softball fields, tennis and basketball courts, beach volleyball courts, outdoor rinks, a toboggan hill, and over 2 km of groomed walking trails connected to Cornwall’s trail network.

Additional amenities include the Naturalization Gallery, Circle of Peace, Memorial Grove, picnic areas, and open green spaces used for recreation programs, tournaments, and community events year-round. Primetime weekday hours are currently available for seasonal turf bookings.

Cornwall Civic Centre

Looking for a space to host a birthday party, family reunion, meeting, or special event? The Cornwall Civic Centre is available for rentals and offers a great community space for gatherings and celebrations. Call Jenn at 902-628-6260.

Terry Fox Sports Complex

Did you know that the Terry Fox Sports Complex not only provides a full array of summer facilities but the staff work hard to ensure great winter facilities are available for you to get out and enjoy?

You can start the day with your families skiing on the groomed trails, or taking a trek through the snow on your snowshoes. There is a great toboggan hill in which your children can get hours of fun or top off the day with an evening skate or a game of pick up hockey at either of our outdoor rinks.

This facility is weather-dependent so please check out our website or Facebook page to ensure the facility is open.

Staying active and having fun benefits everyone’s health and well-being, so the Recreation Department is on top of what’s happening in the community.

How to Register

CALL: Town office at 628-6260, Ext. 221. All participants must pre-register.

IN PERSON: Stop by the Parks and Recreation Department located at 15 Mercedes Drive between the hours of 8:00 and 4:30 pm. Summer hours: 8:00 to 4:00 pm.

Payments for all programs will only be accepted at the Town Office during business hours. You can call to register and pay with your credit card over the phone.

Cancellations & Changes

We do our best to ensure all programs are implemented exactly as outlined but sometimes the program date, time, location or fee may change. Programs are subject to cancellation due to insufficient registration. If this occurs, a full refund will be issued.

The Town of Cornwall Parks and Recreation Department requires two (2) week written notice when ending all childcare programs. Please note: minimum and a maximum number of participants are required for each program to proceed.

Refunds

Prior to the program start date: Withdrawals may be made up to 3 days before a program starts and a full refund will be provided.
On or after program start, prior to second class: Requests received on or after the start date of the program, regardless of class start time, will be pro-rated as of the date of notification and cannot be backdated. Withdrawal/Refund requests may be made no later than one business day prior to the second class. A pro-rated credit for the remaining classes can be left on your account for future program registration use. Refund requests will be pro-rated, as of date of notification and subject to a service fee of $10.00.
After the second class of the program: Requests made after the second class of the program, will be processed for medical reasons ONLY for the remaining classes of the program and must be accompanied by a doctor’s note.

Requests will be processed as of the date of notification and cannot be backdated. Medical requests are not subject to a service charge.
